Postcard from Siena

Chianti, is famous worldwide for its wine and the beauty of its landscapes. Driving through the celebrated Via Chiantigiana, in ancient time a crucial route for peregrines and merchants, the sceneries are vast fields of olive and wine trees , where the farmhouses and the Romanesque parish Churches, lie in harmony with the splendour of the Renaissance villas and the majesty of the Medieval castles.

Mistirious and elegant city Siena reveals it self in the magnificence of its Palazzos , the red of the brinks , the “panforte” (Sienese nougat-type delicacy) and “ricciarelli” ( marzipan biscuits) and the stunning Piazza del campo.

In the surroundings SAN GIMIGNANO, the city of the towers or the “Manhattan in Medieval times” as it is commonly nicknamed. There are still thirteen intact towers and some well-preserved ruins of the existing ancient sixty-two towers.
